Our Story
lakeshadow-retreat began in a small office in Manchester, founded by two engineers frustrated with the disconnect between technology vendors and business users. Too often, they'd seen organisations purchase expensive systems that sat underutilised because nobody had taken the time to understand actual workflows.
We set out to do things differently. Rather than pushing products, we focused on understanding problems. Rather than dazzling clients with jargon, we translated technical possibilities into business outcomes.
That approach resonated. What started as a two-person consultancy has grown into a team of 34 specialists serving clients across the UK. We've expanded our capabilities significantly, but our founding principle remains unchanged: technology should serve your business, not the other way around.
